Annotation

The article publishes the letters of A.A. Miller (1875–1935), an outstanding Russian archaeologist, ethnographer, museologist, member of the Ethnographic Department of the Russian Museum. These letters were written in 1903–1917 and were addressed to his teacher, F.K. Volkov (1847–1918). They contain much new and valuable information about A.A. Miller’s study, his interests and passions, about his private life. The letters also attest to the great degree of friendliness and trust with his teacher and serve as an important source for the reconstruction of the full-fledged biography of A.A. Miller, covering both the academic and the other aspects of his life and activities.
